To Build the Whole Man, a person must strive for improvement in 4 areas:
Intellectually
Spiritually
Physically
Socially/Morally
This Four-Fold Process was a cornerstone in the beliefs of FarmHouse's Founders as it continues to be for each new member and the alumni before them. However, the Whole Man does not stop at just bettering one's self, but instead strives to build up those around him as well even when challenges present themselves. This "Whole Man" is illustrated in an excerpt of our Object:
"Men elected to our membership are considered to be of good moral character, to be high in scholarship, to have the capacity for meeting and making friends, and to give promise of service to their fellowmen and to the world. To be and become such may at times require a sacrifice of time, pleasures and comforts."
The Gamma Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity at the University of Illinois has established the Four-Fold Man Scholarship to honor young men who are striving to better their communities and themselves by "Building the Whole Man." We will be awarding multiple $500 scholarships to deserving male high school seniors who plans to pursue an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
To be eligible you must be a male high school senior who will be attending the University of Illinois the fall semester after you graduate from high school. All majors are encouraged to apply.
